Staff Development
So many of our staff stay with Pendine for years, and many join us through family, friends, and community recommendations. Our belief in the importance of skills development led us to creating, many years ago, our own award winning Pendine Academy of Social Care, which influences training across Pendine and delivers Social Care Diplomas to care staff throughout North Wales. Our highly trained care and clinical teams support a wide range of care needs, including highly complex nursing needs.
We also focus on innovative work based learning with Mentors who deliver excellent on the job training programmes. Our Training and Career pathways, which include Health and Social Care Qualifications,
Leadership Development Programme and Career Fairs support staff who wish to develop.
Role modelling is something we are passionate about, which is why we invest in mentoring staff and also reward role model behaviours.
We support and are very proud of our many staff who have achieved Wales Care Awards and our commitment to staff training, support and
development opportunities was recognised when we achieved Investors in People Gold.
